SANDWICK FOREST

This 11.8-hectare park was previously owned by the Sandwick Waterworks District and was donated to the City of Courtenay as parkland with a CVLT conservation covenant registered on the title. The park protects a second growth forest bisected by Finlay Creek (a tributary to Portuguese Creek) and is notable for its numerous natural springs and marshes. Please note that the trails can be muddy at times.

There is a parking lot off Muir Road bordering the forest and close to a playground. Dogs are allowed on leash. Be bear aware in this park.
