McKenzie Meadows – Subalpine ecosystems
Meet at Parking area on the Parkway just off Highway 19 at 8.30 am to carpool – a vehicle with good clearance is necessary for logging road access.
An easy, 3 k. one-way hike from trailhead into McKenzie & Douglas Lakes & the Meadows, with biologist Loys Maingon. Experience the sort of subalpine meadow that Paradise Meadows was once upon a time.
Sturdy footwear is essential – be prepared for sudden changes in weather in the mountains. Always carry water. No dogs, please.
