Establishing Land Covenants with owners (public, private)

7 Private Conservation Covenants protecting sensitive ecosystems and special places!
Added together our covenants total almost 400 Acres of protected land!
Active participation with the Comox Valley Conservation Strategy (CVCS) Community Partnership (CVCSCP) and an active member of the CVCSCP Steering Committee
Creating and maintaining management plans for covenants holders
Yearly monitoring by environmental professional of covenant properties
Establishment and maintenance of "Friends of Covenants" program
Our activities fall into the following general categories:
· Public education in land stewardship
· Landowner contact programs
· Land protection projects
· Assisting landowners in protecting their property through conservation covenants or other protection options
· Public information to develop community support and attract membership
